Rehearsal Updates

Hello everyone,
Thank you to everyone who made it to the photo session today. Everyone looked great. I feel the need to remind everyone that we all need to make every effort to attend the rest of our rehearsals. We are nearing our performance rapidly and every dancer is crucial to the production's success. When even just a few dancers are missing it makes a huge difference to formation movement and choreography. Also, it is imperative that all dancers be practicing at home! We do not have the leisure of taking time out of our scheduled rehearsals to re-teach at this point. If you need extra help we are happy to meet with you outside of rehearsal or send you video clips to study at home. We want everyone to feel well prepared but it is definitely a team effort and takes the whole cast being well practiced and on time attending every rehearsal for that to happen.
Thank you for understanding the seriousness your attendance has on the success of the production.
That being said, below is the schedule for this week. Next weeks schedule will be emailed on Monday and also posted here on the blog.
As always, Paige is happy to field your calls/texts with questions and concerns at any time (801)577-1564. If you have previously arranged absences please remind Paige via text the Monday before your absence to avoid confusion. Thank you for making every effort to attend each remaining rehearsal. See you this weekend.

Friday, Nov 3rd

We hope you enjoyed your fall break. Listed below are the rehearsal dates scheduled thus far. The remaining November dates will be set after we see how the dances look this weekend.
Please remember that the photo shoot is this Saturday, Oct 28th 3:30-5:30 at Edge of Expression (across the parking lot from C&C Ballet). Dancers not attending the photo session will not appear in the program pictures. Please plan accordingly. Hairstyle instructions have been sent via email. If you have not received this information please contact Paige at (801)577-1564 . Dancers will wear stage make up in neutral tones (like they do for recital). Girls should wear pink tights (no runs or holes please) and pink ballet slippers or pointe shoes depending on role. We don't want any undies showing so please don't wear them under your costume. For modesty while changing, dancers can wear a nude leotard but please be sure it's not peeking out under the costume. Also, please limit the amount of visible bra straps. Soldiers will need to wear black knee high socks and black dance shoes. Male dancers please have your hair neatly combed and wear a clean white fitted tee shirt and black pants with black dance shoes. Also bring black trouser socks please. Nutcracker Auditions

It's that time of year again. We are excited to be presenting The Nutcracker this holiday season. Please join us for auditions September 23rd. Don't forget to pre-register! Information below.

Les Sylphides and Four Sea Interludes

What a fantastic success! We are so very proud of our dancers who participated in this amazing ballet. Les Sylphides was a beautiful and moving work of art that deftly showcased the dancers impressive skills. Director Angela Curtis' vision for Four Sea Interludes was brought to life as we watched life under the sea dancing before our eyes. A big congratulations to all involved and our deep gratitude to the many volunteers that made this ballet such a success. We hope to see you all in the fall for The Nutcracker.

Special thanks to Evelyn Chidester for the photos.

Saturday, January 7, 2017

Male dancers: if you have any questions regarding what to wear please contact Angela at the studio. Costumes will be checked out to dancers just before photos are taken and checked back in at the studio upon completion of the photo shoot. Rehearsal for all dancers will continue throughout the evening 6-8pm and dancers will be taken a group at a time for photos with the youngest being photographed first.
